I wonder if the hire of the AD involved saying "We'll lay off scientists, researchers, librarians, etc, but we won't touch athletics except one token employee" ?

or "your first job is to evaluate and right-size the AD".....and if they wait long enough and it is <50 people they will not have to do a WARN filing....
