There were a large number of layoffs within DAPER last week. I didn't see most of them on the filing.

Can you document this?  A quick search didn’t show any mention of this. I don’t know that such layoffs would need to be in such a filing, but I would think so

WARN filing is required if 50 or more employees are involved - I could see the layoffs occuring without being "documented" if the #s were below 50, plus the timelines are different

But why wouldn't Stanford bundle Athletic Department layoffs into this WARN filing?  It certainly is a bad look that they laid off so many in so many areas but essentially didn't touch Athletics.   I imagine the Faculty Senate would question the administration over this.

If we had any documentation of the numbers, if any, laid off in Athletics, then that would be one thing, but right now, I've not seen any.

I would guess if the AD layoffs were about the same time then they would be included in the WARN filing.  In filings for companies I have worked for the titles in the WARN filing are not necessarily the same as the one someone might have on their business card, the WARN filing titles were the official job classifications from the internal jobs ladders (e.g., my last job title was "Senior Product Strategy Manager", but in a WARN filing it would show up as "Product Manager 5", many engineers had various titles related to their job (e.g., OS kernal engineer) but in WARN filings they were under things like MTS3 (member of technical staff 3)).  I would guess that many of the roles in the AD have the same job classifications as other roles in the University
