#1 UNC begins their withering on the vine with a shocking season opening loss to unranked Tennessee, 2-0. Duke saves a bit of face for the ACC by outlasting #11 Penn State, 3-2. The other eye-opening result on opening day was Northwestern State producing a major upset of  #19 Texas, 3-2. I wonder what the disparity in their athletic departments budgets are - but that's a Northwestern State team that didn't even win their conference last year.
