Baggerly's basically saying it's Hundley's job if he wants it. There are six other manager openings, and Hundley is an attractive candidate...and one of Posey's best friends.

Hundley lives in San Diego and turned down the opportunity to interview for the role citing family concerns two years ago.

Separate question: should the Giants bring back Dominic Smith, especially given Eldridge's recent wrist surgery?

Eldridge’s surgery was not significant.  I don’t think that will impact his availability next spring.  

Smith could get an offer elsewhere that gives him the opportunity to receive regular playing time.  If so, he will probably go in that direction given the Giants have two 1B’s - Devers and Eldridge (in the wings).

1B - Devers
2B - ???
3B - Chapman
ss - Adames
LF - ???
CF - Lee
RF - ???
DH - Ramos

A lot will change between now and March…..

Ramos is not gonna be the DH.

Yeah, I know.  It was more a wish than anything else - I just don’t want to see him playing LF.  

Quite frankly, I think Posey will trade him for pitching.  He can certainly hit and, who knows, maybe someone else can figure out how to improve his fielding…..
