I was lucky to be at the game (gifted a ticket from a friend) and at reunion all weekend. To cctop's point about in-stadium replay, the TVs above the concession stands in the concourse all showed the actual replay angles, frame by frame, as the replay official was viewing them. I'm not sure if it was an accident, but I got a good view of what the official saw. I would say one could infer a FSU TD from the replay, but it wasn't conclusive. And the new verbiage is either "upheld" or "overturned"...no more of the "stands/confirmed/overturned."
Word on the street is that Norvell has lost the locker room, which might explain some of the undisciplined behavior. But I think it's going to cost FSU something like $68 million to buyout the head coach and assistant coaches.
I thought Leigber's hit was unfortunate, as he was already coming in extremely quickly, and Castellanos had started his slide late and finished his slide quickly. You can see his regret immediately after the play. I didn't like it, and I didn't like Gulbranson leaving with his injury either.
I would never characterize the post-game festivities of that night as "storming the field." As I recall, Florida State had finished leaving the field, and the security staff had stepped aside and unchained the stairways. No one tore down the goal posts, and no one was in danger of getting hurt.
The drone show was unfortunately out of sight for most of the stadium. Looking at the social media videos afterward though, it did look kind of cool.
Great team effort to defend home turf. Not sure the QB situation bodes well for the next few games, but Stanford got this one, at least.
