My thoughts - why not? If he could simply get the players to focus on their job while they are on the field, it would be a major step forward. Too many times, we saw fundamental mistakes by the Giants; errors of omission and commission. Clean those up, add Max Scherzer, a fiery competitor and good friend of Vitello (per The Athletic), another starting pitcher and some bullpen arms and suddenly you have a serious wild card contender.

Well, the Scherzer part is going to have to wait because he is on a team that is still playing baseball, since the Seattle Mariners are not allowed to appear in the World Series.
