Not sure what this means, but Giants hitters crushed the ball in August/Sept/Oct of 2025, with tOPS+ of 111 and 103 (compared to between 95 and 97 for all other months). They averaged 4.6 runs per game in March and April, 3.8 in May and July, 4.0 in June, 4.9 in August and 5 in September/October. That's a good sign, isn't it?

Giants' Zach Minasian says they will prioritize pitching depth. 31 year-old Cody Ponce is available. Former big-leaguer, added a splitter and velocity in Korea, he's 6'6". He's also married to George Kittle's sister, Emma, so there's that. Drew Pomeranz is available. He had a great season with the Cubs in 2025 (2-2, 2.17 ERA, 57 G, 4 starts, 49 2/3 IP, 57 K's).
Encarnacion is likely to remain on the team.

Parks Harber, who came over as a secondary piece in the Doval trade, has been destroying the Arizona Fall League. He leads in doubles (9), XBH (12), third in average (.407), OPS (1.270) and total bases (40). He hit a double that went 106.2 mph. He had eight games in a row with an extra base hit, which hasn't been done in the AFL since 2012. But he's 24 years old, so... Harber slashed (.333/.454/.644/1.098) with the High-A Emeralds and he will play on the Fall All Stars game tomorrow night.
Barry Bonds and Jeff Kent are on the Contemporary Baseball Era player ballot. 16-person committee votes in early December, if they make it, it will be announced December 7. Also on the ballot are Dale Murphy, Don Mattingly, Fernando Valenzuela, Gary Sheffield and Carlos Delgado. 12 of 16 votes are necessary. Five vote minimum to be on ballot next year. Committee is made up of HoF members, executives and media veterans.
