Was there an issue with the Axe Transfer (or after it)? I must’ve missed it…

I suppose the Stanford players could have been running to the student section, but from my view in the stands it seemed more like 5-6 of them went to jaw at the Cal players and the rest followed.  Two Cal players turned around and started to engage. It was about to turn into something until the coaches separated them.

I can see having the students at the tunnel to intimidate the opposing team and give our team more of a home field advantage

I highly doubt any football player is intimidated by a student section. :-)  I'm pretty sure the decision to move the students and the Band to the corner around the tunnel was completely for TV purposes.
