Charlie Barker clarifies.  Basically a player signed to an NBA contract is ineligible, but those signed to developmental contracts are potentially eligible. I think this is inviting lawsuits because the G-league is no less professional than the NBA; players just don’t make as much money, so I think the NCAA is going to have trouble defending that the line is any NBA contract, however small or short term it is.

Darlan made $40,500 combined for the two seasons at the G League. Would he make more NIL money in college? He never signed an NBA contract and was never in the NBA draft, hence, he was eligible.
