Alternative strategy: accept that it will be impossible to fully stop Hidalgo but make sure the rest of the team doesn't beat you.

Didn't we try that strategy against U$C a couple of years ago? Didn't work too well as I recall. (Of course we tried the other strategy next time we played them and that didn;t work either).
