Benny was trying to foul well before the shot and on the slow motion replay it sure looked like he succeeded, but the refs didn't call it. Season in a microcosm.

Oooof, that was tough. Just finished recording. Yes, Benny tried to foul and the ref didn't call it, so Huff just threw it up under arms and game over, and Dent Smith, excellent at the line, misses his last FT for the Card. Their 2nd half was terrific, and it's a shame they wont get to play one more. This was one of the more entertaining teams in recent years. Hoping EO returns.

Like all of us I too hope that next year's team includes EO and that the building process continues. That said, the team has to reach a level where one "bad" call at the end of the game cannot be the difference between winning and losing. I am sure the coaches know that and communicate that. Hopefully next year we will be able to do that more often.
 
The problem with the ACC refs does need to be addressed in the off-season. Stanford isn't THAT much more foul prone than the other ACC teams. I get all the "social" causes of the disparity, but the result is over the top. A well prepared video for the powers that be in the league along with a forceful complaint is IMO called for.
