FSU was 36-4 entering this series. Granted their four losses were against top ten teams, but they did beat UCLA in February and were 12-0 in conference with sweeps of Syracuse, Cal, Clemson and Notre Dame.
This was a h.uge weekend for Stanford softball. Besides the sweep of FSU, it looks like P Alyssa Houston is back and getting stronger.
The top four seeds in the ACC conference tournament get byes into the quarterfinals. At 12-6, Stanford is currently in 5th place with two more series: next weekend at home vs NC State (5-8) and the weekend following at home at Cal (3-14). Yes, you read that correctly. Cal is playing at Stanford Stadium as the home team because Cal's stadium is under renovation.
And if you live in the Fresno area you can catch Stanford at Fresno State this Wednesday afternoon.
