Johns Hopkins was given the 8 seed with a #10 RPI last season.  Strength of schedule was a big factor for them.  They got the 8 seed over #4 RPI Princeton and #9 RPI JMU, seemingly based on strength of schedule because Hopkins played in the Big 10.  The ACC  is the other strong women's lacrosse conference.  I like the strength of schedule numbers as of now, but I admit it may not be enough to give Stanford the edge without some serious upsets against the teams ahead of them in RPI.
