Given that teams 9-29 are unseeded and placed geographically, Boulder, CO doesn't seem so bad. The next nearest-to-Stanford hosting location would be Evanston, IL, i.e. likely 1-seed Northwestern.
Given that choice, I'll take the Colorado option.
