Looks like things are getting interesting for the Warriors.  Green turned down his player option, and it looks like the Warriors are going to go after LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

Win, lose or draw, that would be the epic old-man lineup, especially if they can get Butler back for the playoffs.  And it will keep Al Horford from feeling too old.  (Maybe Al has some pointers for the rest of the group?)

At this point, I'd rather have 33 year old Anthony Davis than 37 year old Butler and the conditional first round choice. I don't think Butler is going to come back at full strength anytime before the playoffs. He has a torn ACL. Average NBA return to play post-ACL tear is 372.5 days, and Butler is, as noted, going to be 37 in a few months. Here's the steps:

1. Draymond has already rejected the player option. A multi-year contract would free up $11 million or so. 
2. Get Washington to accept Butler for Davis and draft capital, an unprotected first and a first swap.
3. Get LeBron to play for the full mid-level player exception of $15.049. Fallback is a sign-and-trade (seeya later, Moses Moody and maybe Will Richard) that takes it to $23 million? 

In any event, it will take a full-court press with Curry, Draymond, Davis, Kerr, Dr. Celebrini...one last shot at the title, his last shot to play with Curry.

Other:
- 31 year old broken-down Porzingis, therefore, is gone
- Ageless 41-year old Al Horford is returning on a two-year, $14 million deal
- De'Anthony Melton is a wild card. $3.45 million player option, rumor is he wants to test free agency.
- I think Pat Spencer, Seth Curry, GP2, Post return.

Dunleavy has some work to do.
