- Will Sutton, DT, Arizona State: 13 sacks/1.08 per game
- Morgan Breslin, DE/OLB, Under Stanford Control: 13/1.0
- Anthony Barr, OLB, UCLA: 13.5/0.96
- Carl Brandford, OLB, Arizona State: 11.5/0.88
- Trent Murphy, OLB, Stanford: 10/0.7
The article goes on to list possible players who will join the double-digit sack club. Oddly enough, only eight schools have such candidates, and some have multiple candidates. Stanford is not one of them. Here's to incorrect prognostication.
