TC, "nominated" is not the same as being a finalist.  I think that the Watkins folks only publicly announce finalists which will happen later this year or early 2015.

Stanford has a good record with Watkins finalists.  From Stanford Football on Facebook:

Bobby [Okereke] is the fifth Stanford winner all-time of the Watkins Award in its 23-year history, joining Jamal-Rashad Patterson (2009), Ekom Udofia (2005), Marcus McCutcheon (2002) and Michael Craven (2001). The next closest school boasts three winners. Stanford's 17 all-time Watkins Award Finalists far outpace the nearest school (seven).

Stanford has a good track record with Watkins awards, but the converse is clearly not true.  The record of Watkins award winners at Stanford has been less than stellar, I'm afraid.  Let's hope Okereke breaks the mold.
