Here's hoping the fact that McCaffrey was the unanimous choice of the Big 12 players on that video means that McCaffrey tops the ballots in Big 12 country, or is at least second behind Mayfield on many of them.

At of Big 12 Country votes most likely went to Mayfield and Henry.  Remember, SEC has a school in the Country.

Yeah and the SEC getting those two Big 12 schools nearly imploded the league. Hard to say whether that works in Henry's favor or not.

Looking back at Toby's year, the southwest voted for Suh, McCoy, Ingram, then Toby. But, then again, Suh's total that year would've gotten Mayfield to the ceremony, so who knows? This stuff is really hard to predict.

I knew I liked that guy.  I was laughing that he didn't want to name a school that isn't tough academically (for obvious reasons).  Rather than naming 1 school, he just said 100 of the 120 FBS schools are a joke academically.

I liked that up until the end...

Though he's probably right, I keep telling myself that the Voldemort voters are going to get it right, that Henry swept last night as a consolation. But that's probably wrong and it's stupid.

I hope you're right, Stupac, but I am afraid this is the first time you're wrong.  On the other hand, I remember the year Luck won the Maxwell.  As the kid in the Dr. Pepper commercial says, "We're still in it!"

Stomp the hell out of Iowa...for McCaffrey, for Stanford, for the Pac-12.

It seems the Pac12 record for APY belongs to Reggie Bush.  512 or something like that.  Break it.  Fitting end to an historic season.

No, Reggie Bush's Pac-12 all purpose record of 513 yards was vacated because Bush cheated. The legitimate Pac-12 record is 469 yards by Marqise Lee of USC against Arizona in 2012. McCaffrey missed that record by 8 yards last week.

Thanks Terry.  It really pisses me off that people still quote those records.  What's the point in vacating a season for cheating if no one pays attention to that fact.  The vacated records are supposed to be a punishment.

Okay, granted.  Still need 513.  The cheating didn't get him those yards.

Yeah, if Bush had been taking steroids it would be one thing, but it's not like someone buying his family a house (or whatever it was) made him run better.

Also the fact that plenty of Voldemort winners etc. back in the 50s probably were getting hundred dollar handshakes on the regular. Hard to get worked up about Bush's infractions just because the NCAA had to offer up a sacrificial lamb.

As long as it's not PEDs the numbers speak for themselves.  OJ may be a dastardly criminal but that had nothing to do with his yardage.  Rose might have had a gambling problem (. ! ) but that had nothing to do with his numbers.
