Stanford wins by a MUCH larger margin than today's Big Game Cup at Stanford GC today (30-27). But we got Big Game Week off to a good start with a W baby!!!

16. Seems high to me. ×ÉÉ under Wilcox is still not a particularly good football team. But they play hard for 60. And they have flashes. Defensively they have given up a ton of yards. But they have been opportunistic. Losing their best linebacker hurt. Offensively, Laird is a solid north south back that can also catch the ball. Bowers is inconsistent but has made a fair amount of big plays. Losing Robinson for the year hurt.
If Stanford avoids turnovers it should win. But Im thinking more along the lines of about 10

If there's one thing people have learned in Berkeley, it's that you can't put "Cal football" and "Rose Bowl" in the same sentence. The words just don't fit. You'd be better off linking "covered wagons" with "Mars travel." (Bruce Jenkins, Cal '70, SF Chronicle, Nov. 11, 2017)
