I am having other problems. 

I cannot log in as "Extra Point" anymore. The new version converted me to "daybreak." I believe this is because the old version allowed me to log in with my email address (daybreak...) and the new version does not. I also discovered (after a few days) that if I don't log out and then log in again, the links to the boards on the main page don't work. There may be others with this problem who think (as I did) that the board is not up and running yet.

I'll change you back. Have you tried to change yourself using the UserCP?

What is an invisible user?  Does one need to do something to qualify.  Sounds EXTREMELY cool and I think I might be interested in being invisible.

We had that capability with the old software, as well. Maybe you didn't notice. Check the UserCP for a setting that allows you to hide your online status.

I am not seeing any avatars on my Macbook Pro using Chrome.  Is this a setting in the CP?

UPDATE:  I changed my avatar in the CP to an uploaded versions and now I can see it.  My old avatar was a URL to an online image.  It appears that .gif images do not work as avatars.

I turned off the URL avatar/signature capability because I thought that could leave us vulnerable to getting undesirable types of pictures, but now that I think about it, I realize that people can just as easily download and upload such photos.

I'll turn it back on.

The new software is unusable (i.e., doesn't work) on Safari 11.1 running on MacOS 10.13.4. All you ever get is the portal page regardless of what you click on.

In Google Chrome all works as expected.

I had the same problem on my PC, regardless of browser (Firefox, Chrome, Edge, IE). After much frustration, I stumbled on a solution: Try going into the site by typing just the domain: thecardboard.com [EDIT FROM GOODGRIEF--82 CARD MEANT "thecardboard.org"]. Hopefully that will give you working links to the boards. 

I was pulling my hair out trying to get into the board using my old shortcuts, which were set to go directly to the main board. This would invariably take me to a version of the portal page where none of the links worked. Eventually, I tried a browser that did not have a shortcut to the CardBoard. So I typed in thecardboard.org and hit enter. This took me to the portal page again, except the links all worked. I tried this approach in my usual browsers and it worked with all of them. I redid all shortcuts using the new address for the main board. Works now.

For anybody else encountering that portal page where clicking on a board link takes you right back to the same portal page, 82 Card's fix of manually typing in thecardboard.org worked for me on my iphone/Safari. Now I can once again obsessively check the Cardboard from my phone (not sure if that's a good thing)
