Looks like the roster is getting some updates on players' weights. Miezan is already a big guy. Jordan Perez is bigger. Schaffer and Parkinson too. Maihen unfortunately not on roster.

Stanford now has five DL 280+! Only had 1-2 last year. But Dylan Jackson at 264 is a bit odd. Devery Hamilton down to 287?
Love is now up to 202. Hope he didn't lose any speed and quickness!

- Sophomore walk-on fullback Hannes Boehning (interestingly, his name has been misspelled on the Stanford website since his admittance, which is telling). Out of Rye, NY (just north of Manhattan), Hannes redshirted last year. He was recruited by Ivy Leagues, and was a prep standout in wrestling as well. Perhaps he will go that direction athletically!
- Senior reserve offensive guard Austin Maihen. A three-star recruit out of Santa Margarita Catholic - the same alma mater as K.J. Costello - played in nine games as a sophomore, and one game last year. An STS major (like fellow OL classmate Jack Dreyer, who also just retired a year early), perhaps Maihen decided to focus on school, or perhaps is dealing with a recurring injury that kept him off the field last year. Yes, Tyler was on my watch list of potential breakout players last year. I thought he was going to be a dangerous return guy, but it wasn't meant to be. Best wishes on his academics and future endeavors.

Will post some notable weight changes here (also those mentioned by others) in case someone doesn't want to go to the roster itself and compare. All changes are between last year and this year.
WE NOW HAVE 3 DTs OVER 290!!!!!
DWP: 332 -> a svelte 316.
Mike Williams: 280 -> 293. Solid playing weight, and really hoping that heart surgery made him a cyborg wrecking machine.
Bo Peek: 290 -> 296, and his headshots look like 2 different people. Just based on his face alone, he's lost fat - this is all muscle.
Other notable changes to me:
Dylan Jackson "only" lost 2 pounds. 266 -> 264. Hopefully this is a sign of some body recomposition so he can get some much-needed burst for pass rushing.
On the contrary, Thomas Schaffer got YOKED. 272 -> 290.
Jovan Swann: 262 -> 271.
Tucker Fisk actually LOST weight from 269 -> 260. (To those hoping for a move to DE, this may unfortunately quell said hopes.)
Colby Parkinson: 229 -> 240. Once he starts really learning the blocking portion of the TE position, look out.
Mustafa Branch: 218 -> 212. I selfishly hope he redshirts his senior year and bulks back up, because we'll need the ILB depth next year.
Sean Barton: 233 -> 224. Probably lost some weight due to his injury.

1) Starter at LG changed from Fanaika to Hamilton. This is interesting. It is a position change for Hamilton. Not unheard of in the least, but if a tackle is better at guard than a guy (Fanaika) who started there last year, then that is saying something about how Hamilton is playing. Of course, the goal is to get the five best OL out there, which is apparently, right now, Little, Hamilton, HeBIG, Hall, and Burkett (kinda). Interesting that Sarell is not there ... yet.
2) Starter at C changed from Burkett to Dalman. Burkett is injured, or he'd be the starter. But it is interesting that Dalman has jumped Chaffin.
3) Starter at DT changed from DWP to Williams. I had assumed DWP would start at NT due to not only his girth, but also his performance in the spring relative to Williams, and the fact that Williams was coming off heart surgery. However, Williams performance in the summer has been good, and DWP has had a nagging injury, so Williams gets the nod.

Fanaika isn't back to full health yet, or at least full health plus full playing condition. It may be that Hamilton will beat him out for the spot permanently (he's certainly been at the position lately - and I suspect he has more potential), but I think that right now the depth chart reflects health.

Murphy is listed as an "or" starter with Holder. I suspect that upward move is based upon Holder's still uncertain health. Murphy has been a contributor for a long time now, and glad to see him atop a depth chart.
Would love to know how close Adebo got to playing last year (apparently "quite close"). There was buzz on him from the start. Holder played in 8 games last year (I think one an aborted attempt to come back from injury). That's rather late to change a red shirt decision, especially since an experienced guy was available in Murphy.

DWP is also just coming off an ankle thing, so we'll have to wait to see his place in the hierarchy when fully healthy.

DWP is also just coming off an ankle thing, so we'll have to wait to see his place in the hierarchy when fully healthy.

Yeah, I noticed that, too. I asked in the thread below ("LSJU injuries for SDSU game") if any railbirds had info, as his twitter page still has him in uniform. Having said that, I will remove him here. I wonder if it was his decision or if it was made for him...

Updates here:
- Alijah Holder now healthy and starting.
- Connor Wedington out.
- I added a notation to show game appearances for true frosh to demarcate which will forgo redshirting. At five appearances, they are no longer eligible for a redshirt. Two true frosh played: Michael Wilson and Thomas Booker, Wilson apparently only on STs.
- As an aside, I was surprised to see that Treyjohn Butler did not see any game time against SDSU.
