42 first half points by Bama. When was the last time we did that? Go Keller, get what you can get out of this season.
Chryst had a pretty remarkable game, despite the fact that the coaches didn't show a great deal of confidence in him. He was 9/15 for 164 yards and 2 TDs, no INTs, and a 94.2 QBR. Guarantano had a QBR of 3.5. Not a misprint. He was 5/10 for 63 yards, no TDs or INTs. Tennessee rushing was 30 rushes for 31 yards.
Too bad Keller hasn't had more time this season.
Hope Keller gets a chance in the second half of the season. That may be enough for him to make this transfer worth his effort.
I didn't much care for Coach Pruitt's post-game comments. He breezily reported that Guarantano would return next week, and sxxt-talked Keller's performance a bit:
ON KELLER CHRYST
"We gave them some unusual looks that they probably haven't seen, so that probably had something to do with it (on Keller's success). Guys had a little protection and we threw the ball down there and made some plays. We can't be one-dimensional. We have to run the football to give ourselves a chance."
They ran 31 yards on 30 carries. Probably should stick to the dimension that works best.
