Reiminiscent of when the Florida State baseball team came out to Palo Alto and the bus driver had a heart attack travelling down 101. I don't think they have been back.

I've been to a few games this year and like others, I'm more optimistic than I have been for the last 8-9 years. Yes, we lack a true big man and our upperclassmen have not really developed into leaders (Da Silva, Wills and Davis). In the first half, it seemed like every Cardinal player (except Terry) was afraid of missing a shot, so they passed up multiple open looks and turned the ball over. Take the ball to the hole, guys!
The freshmen look like they have potential, but why hasn't Haase developed his existing players? This is my concern with him. He looks to be able to recruit reasonably well, but developing talent once they are here is an open question for me.
As for Kansas, their point guard is phenomenal!

Just making some open 3-pointers--ones they had been making routinely when the moment wasn't as big--would've made a big difference. Terry and Jones will learn. If Stanford can lose like that on the first Sunday of the tournament I will be happy.
I am more worried about making the tournament. We have work to do in conference
play if we are going to make up for a weak non-conference resume. I think we need
a minimum of 11 wins in conference to make the dance.
Stanford needs to win enough to make the tournament AND win a game (or two) just to get to then lose on the weekend. That's why I would be happy if they lost on Sunday in the NCAA tournament. They only get to lose in the Round of 32 by making it to the Round of 32.
