If I were one of the top 150 football players in the country, and I was expected to work 40+ hours/week on football, and I didn't come from a weathly family, then I would consider the amount of money I'd make from NIL during college. Wouldn't anyone in those circumstances? If Stanford is asking people not to consider NIL income (which I doubt Stanford would do), then isn't that sort of like a potential employer saying, "Don't consider the salary or bonus. Make your job choice entirely based on what you'll learn while you're here making slave wages."

The lack of any top 400 DB recruits since the 2019 class is a little concerning. Some of the guys in the middle range will need to exceed their rating, but it seems like a decent bet that'll happen due to the depth in recent classes.
That drought has a good shot of ending in this class.
Thanks for the tidbit. I hope you’re right.

I have no idea which recruits KR has in mind, but I hope they play defense.
I know that we've had commits-turned-recruiters in the past--KJ Costello comes to mind--but I was trying to think of names on the defensive side. Shayne Skov? Others?

Quote:"I saw so many guys at Stanford that were like me in terms of their goals on and off the field,” Bailey said. “That was one of the best parts, just seeing how well i fit in there with everyone who has my same mindset. It’s a place you can have fun at, win football games and be set up for life after football. My sister and mom were with me and they both said that Stanford just seemed like the best fit for me and my personality. My sister went to USC and she even said.”
Quote:“I have three more official trips to take so I figure I might as well use them all,” Bailey said. “You only go through this once so I want to see what’s out there and see what a game weekend will be like. Then I’ll make my decision later in the year.”
