The next big decision point is going to be the Olympic Games scheduled to start 24/July.  The pandemic may subside substantially between now and then, but if it is continuing to be widespread it may need to be postponed/cancelled as well.

My guess is Japan will successfully bend their case curve as they have been obsessed with testing since January.  The problem would be those Americans.   A bunch of untested, disease carrying Americans would quickly ruin all of Japan's efforts to date.

Most conference cancellations have included organized practices as well.  And Disney is closing down for now as well.

There are talks of postponing the Olympics for two years.

It is incredible that all these organizations have acted against their immediate financial best interests within the span of a few days.  It's the right thing to do, but it's not an easy thing to do.

For all we know, the MBB would have been selected for the Big Dance. Hey, it could happen!

Oregon did not win a national championship in WBB. And Tara would have finally solved their offense when we would have met them again in the FF, anyway.

Baseball season is mercifully over, and the team can work on their fielding and batting on their own. 

UCLA has no shot at adding to its total of NCs, especially in W Tennis, WWP, BVB, baseball and W Gymnastics.

I know how hard it is for those kids to miss out their senior year. The same thing happened to my son in high school.

In a weird twist, my son is getting a massive benefit from this. He has spent most of his first two years in college injured. He was finally putting it together the last few weeks and preparing to compete in the biggest meet of the year for club teams in 2.5 weeks. (UIC relegated their gymnastics team from NCAA to club level this year.) At that meet the NCAA coaches are looking for kids to transfer into their programs, and my son was hoping to show that he would be a good candidate. He has been talking to the coach of a team which we shall not name and this was the meet they were going to use to decide. He's already been cleared academically to transfer. Yesterday, he strained his bicep. Bad enough that he cannot do gymnastics for 2 weeks. He was incredibly upset and saying he was ready to retire from the sport. Today USA Gymnastics cancelled all of the meets they sponsor for the next month. The meet will not happen. All of a sudden he has time to heal and use his training tapes for evaluation. He was 180 degrees removed from yesterday's depression today.

My guess is the IOC will see F1's experience and realize it will be better to just cancel/delay if the situation does not improve a lot in the next 3-4 weeks.
