If the NBA goes and NCAA does not, I would accept that logic although I still don't see him as being "ready".

Well, even so, a few years down the road there's a reasonable chance he might still be wishing there had been a "student" part next year [and a year or two after that, as well]...

I had heard O'Connor praise Terry on a couple of podcasts, but putting him 8th was a surprise. If it is indicative of genuine NBA interest then I can't see him staying.

The Athletic (paywall) has a new article on him with some quotes from Terry.

“I’m trying to look for information that favors me, to try to figure out if it’s better for me to come out this year or next year,” Terry said. “There are certain things I’m looking for specifically, but I’m confident in my ability to play at the next level right now. My intentions are to stay in this draft, but with the new rules, it would be irresponsible for me not to take advantage of maintaining my eligibility. But at the moment, my intentions are to stay in this draft.”

So looks like if the opportunity is not there,  he's open to returning.

Don’t know anything about the authors but they have Terry going 13th in this mock draft, fwliw. I’ve always thought these things had too many moving parts to be of much worth beyond giving us something to do on a slow day.
