Stay away from other people, especially indoors. Of course. But besides what we all largely agree on (social distancing, masks, washing hands) what are some of the other ways to protect against the spread of Covid?

I've seen lots of folks celebrating sunlight (vitamin D), superdosing with vitamin C, and now I am seeing eating Kimchi as an option.

First, I’d say staying distant is trickier than one thinks. Almost everyone I know breaks down at some point and does something surprisingly risky. (They stay home every day, have everything delivered, wash their groceries, then send their child to a sports camp). And I think it still dominates — I’d imaginine the benefits of one less trip to a grocery store could outweigh the benefits of what food you might get there.

After distancing, masks and washing, my #4 would be taking daily walks in my neighborhood (cardio health, sunlight, mood).

My #5 would be getting a lot of sleep every day (almost every cold/flu I can recall follows a night where I get little sleep).

Generally, I try to eat better now.

In terms of speculative, lower priority things:
There was that email by a molecular biologist that circulated here and elsewhere and he advocated zinc lozenges.

I saw some recent press that for acid reflux, PPIs might be harmful and drugs like famotidone (Pepcid) may be protective.

A doctor I know who is really into supplements has been looing into Glutathione lately.

As far as kimchi, I am not aware of anything being close to proven. But I have found eating fermented vegetables very helpful for my gut, so that also might be a reason to eat some if you enjoy kimchi, sauerkraut, kefir, etc.

I completely agree. I'm not saying that kimchi or vitamin D can come close to simply staying away from others, particularly when indoors. 

Exercise, sleep, and healthy eating. Seems like a winning combination to me.

I completely agree. I'm not saying that kimchi or vitamin D can come close to simply staying away from others, particularly when indoors.
