Obviously, it helps to have Lamar Jackson, and having a QB as dynamic as Jackson would be a difference maker in our offense.  And I'm not sure that our tight ends will be up to snuff now that Parkinson has left.  But this paragraph resonated with Stanford of old.

He needs far better player development and a coherent S&C/training/rehab staff that won't get a whole cohort of guys injured.  It's his staff debacles and lack of player development that have stuck out the most, never mind the consistent delay of game penalties.

Having a Denny's menu doesn't guarantee you offensive success.  A successful team can execute a Denny's menu offense, but having the menu is not going to suddenly cause your team to be successful.  Ironically, Harbaugh executed an In-N-Out menu with a successful team and didn't really stray away from that menu.

I see it in coaches all the time who try to do tricky drills.  Tricky drills don't make good athletes, even if good athletes can do tricky drills.  It's not foundational.  Shaw needs better position coaches who can develop players.  Our 3* Ben Gardners need to be coached up and trained up.
