Rachel had a Heck of a first two rounds (ok, I've done it, now that pun is banned forever) and will be the #1 seed in match play that starts tomorrow.

Article said she committed when she was a high school freshman. Is that possible?
“Part of the reason that I probably wanted to go there since I was little, not that I knew much about Stanford, the academics or the team,” Heck said. “...Michelle Wie went there, so it’s got to be cool.”

And Rose Zhang, who enters next fall, qualified and is in the top half of the bracket with Heck.
If both win their first two rounds, they'd meet in the round of 16.
Krauter, Yei, and Engleman are in the bottom half.
Yei and Engleman also would meet in the round of 16 if they win twice.
Great to see Heck's performance. She'd been in a relative slump for 18 months,
after establishing herself as the premier player in her class for three or four years.

Heck was six under, won 2 up. She's now ten-under for 54 holes.
Zhang finished at six under, too--for just 15 holes, winning 5 & 3.
They face each other if they win their next matches.

Coach Walker is sneaky clever, circumventing NCAA restrictions by using the U.S. Amateur to begin the process of team bonding.

Ye has bogeyed 2 holes to drop back into a tie after 12 holes. She is playing the defending champion so a tough opponent. So far, Ye has made two bogeys and a birdie, Ruffels one bogey.

Another bogey (3 in the last 5 holes) and Ye falls one behind. 5 holes left
