I've generally become bored of all things POTUS 45 at this point, but given the fantastical claim he couldn't have done anything more to stop Covid spread yesterday, I figured this was iron-clad proof that was the lie everyone with a functioning brain knew it was immediately.

Some people are slower on the uptake, and some others can't immediately come up with a proof point.  Well, here's one:

OF I'm with you on this, but saddened. Your optimism about a proof point reminds me how dysfunctional the USA has become. Most of us could list dozens of proof points. But proof no longer functions like it did. Trump followers discard proof as fake. And blindly continue to follow their leader.

Case in point, re Covid and masks. Those spot interviews at Trump rallies. He doesn't "believe in Covid" and neither do they. Masks aren't helpful. And yesterday, the AG comparing masks and gathering controls to slavery.

I hear ya, Tim.  I've never been one to care what others think and will never stop searching for and being comfortable with truth, no matter what others say.  

The claim is nothing else could have been done. If the POTUS said masks are important and saw to it the USPS sent out masks to everyone, that would have been something done. It wasn't. End of argument. The efficacy of masks has no relevance in it.

OK, I just saw the video clip and have to respond...

I went to my gym for the first time since March yesterday.  A mask was required.  I wore it through my whole workout.  In fact, not only was I wearing a cloth mask, I also wore a gaiter over it.  So my face was covered with a relatively thick cloth AND another layer.

Amazingly, I survived.  Amazingly, I had ZERO trouble breathing. It was a bit uncomfortable, but not anything I couldn't endure to help protect the three other people at the gym with me and maybe those to follow. Comparing wearing a mask to George Floyd? AYFKM!?!?!?  If you can't breathe with a mask on, just please kill yourself now and spare us the expense of dealing with the fallout from your incompetence elsewhere in society.

How absurd for a TV crew to put a kid who has been told the flu is more deadly than Covid - when that is absolutely false - on their air. 

Yes, that pissed me off and is why I self-regulate my social media intake!
