We are still in the emergency/urgent phase of things, but I feel for those with long haul symptoms and issues.

Some will get identified with pre-existing conditions if that becomes a thing again facing a mountain of health care costs
Some will have debilitating issues that may forever impact the quality of their lives.

In a few on-air interviews some people have talked about struggling with the COVID fog, and I worry about them.  They may or may not have a problem that needs drugs or physical therapy, but if they are in that fog it will be hard to get or keep a job.   The USA doesn't do a lot to help those with mental disabilities, and the fog group could easily fall right through our societal safety nets.

I take it STanford lost? (I could tell by the subjects, but I haven’t looked).

Cheer up, the vaccine results were unmistakeable good news and we should see an announcement from Moderna in a week or two that should also be good news.  Fauci thinks we should have widespread availability of a vaccine by spring (sounds optimistic to me, but I’m hopeful).  It’s going to be a tough winter, but I am hoping to be able to use my accumulated vacation next year!
