Super early I know, but with her size and the way she moves, Brink reminds me of Anthony Davis. She handles the ball at times like a guard, and is pretty fast relatively speaking. She's been playing a real dominate sequence since checking in again.

CP having trouble making a basket in second quarter.
Brink has some moves. You can see the future potential. Pretchel looks much stronger and mature than Brink.
Jones is so smooth in handling the ball. I see why she was so highly ranked as a prep player.

Cal Poly is overmatched. We are looking like the #2 team in the country playing an overmatched team. You can't draw too many conclusions about a half like this, but it does nothing to contradict the idea that we have a really good team!

Cam settled in and started having fun. Great sequence where she got a backcourt steal and nearly went coast to coast with a nice dish at the end.
Forgot to mention that Fran looks much more comfortable and capable with the ball. She had a Sportscenter top 10 play in which she jumped out of bounds to save a ball under the offensive basket and whipped a cross-court pass to Lexie for a three right in rhythm. Spectacular.
Jana got some minutes toward the end of the quarter and picked up her first of many assists to Cam.
As a team, I'm not sure I remember so much uptempo attacking every in the Tara era. We looks like a WNBA offense at times.
The talent and athleticism is staggering.
That said, there have been a bunch of defensive lapses and Tara will have a lot of raw material to coach with here.
Cal Poly is a better team than I expected and well coached. They have a couple of very good players, but our talent 1-10 is more than I think I've ever seen at Stanford.

Hard to believe this game started out 16-14. It reminds me a little of watching WVB where there is often a talent imbalance.
Stanford's test will be against a team playing aggressive, physical defense. That has caused problems in the past for the Cardinal.

I kind of feel that Jerome may have just been surpassed in talent, to be honest. The sophomores all like like they were very solid, and Tara has said so a few times this year. And then Brink looks great. So, I just think Jerome perhaps dropped down the pecking order a bit. I think the others who played more are just a bit more dynamic.
