extension has lower base pay ($4m) but enough incentives ($3.475m max for any one year) that if UM wins the CFP he'll make about the same money he did this year (almost $8m)
in his current time at UM he would not have achieved any of the Big incentives (win CFP, spot in the CFP, win Big 10 East, win Big 10) in the new contract, I don't recall if he had the same incentives in his original contract.
