Some interesting analysis on VT about quality wins, head-to-head, etc. among the contenders for the last two NCAA bids. Suggests Stanford still has a reasonable shot. Certainly need to do better than Arizona (and Cal) in the Pac-12 tournament.

Pac-12 Championship bracket is out: https://pac-12.com/article/2021/04/26/us...ampionship
Stanford's first match is vs. Cal at 1:15pm Thursday. If they win, they play on Friday at 1:15pm (probably taking on #1 seed USC). If they lose, they play at 8:00am Friday.
Sure hope they beat Cal.

Thanks for the info John. There is a contender's bracket so it takes two losses for a team to be out of the tournament. They show all the matches being shown on PAC12HD. What does that mean? Is that a livestream?
The games are being played at Mapes Beach which is in a recreation center and is UCLA's home courts. There is suppose to be a heat wave in SoCal the end of the week so the weather should be ok.

Stanford loses the first set for both the 2s and 4s. 4s had several set points before losing 25-27.

That was the best played and most exciting college beach match I have seen. I thought the televised production was good with two knowledgeable announcers. Many of the indoor matches only had one PAC-12 announcer.
It will be interesting to see if Hodel/Villapando can take a set from USC tomorrow.
