From Wilner's story on the David Shaw press conference:

"We've rotated a lot guys through -- to the point that some of the routes Zach ran, we've (practiced) with (receiver) Drew Terrell," Shaw said. "We can run a lot of same players with different personnel groupings."

Did not quite expect this, but it makes sense. I liked the way Terrell looked against UCLA, so it's not a stretch that he could run similar routes.

Terrell can't block like the way Ertz can.  The three TE scheme allows them to either block for the run or pass.

If not,  why not?  Had two full years of  practice and the Stanford conditioning system.  Took a redshirt year so playing in the last four (six?  8) ) games of the year isn't burning one of those.  Surely, even an inexperienced TE could still block better than Terrell.

Unless... he's hurt or it was a misfire

I thought Dudchock ran good routes and caught the ball during Spring game, for what it's worth.  Can't comment on his blocking.

Nice link WIM; thanks.

So the burning question arises: Ted Miller drops "Tree Amigos" in one of his posts, yet DD refers to "Trees Company" in this interview.

Is there a Cardboard authorized handle out there or has appellation anarchy been loosed here?

It's Tree's Company. Internal team names released to the public trump all others.

One beneficiary of the Ertz injury may be Oregon.

Just win, baby.
