I got more seriously interested in the UFO phenomenon when I learned that one of the most credible UFO witnesses is a friend of a friend.  In our conversations, dots got connected that has made me conclude that this is the most important subject in the world.

I've been looking for an excuse to bring the topic up here in a Stanford-related way and at long last it has come.
Professor Garry Nolan who is a professor of pathology at the medical school has analyzed material allegedly from UFOs and clinical data from witnesses.

I have always wanted to see an UFO in the sky.

The closest I ever got was when I visited the city of Tepic with my girlfriend. We were walking in the downtown area where everyone was looking up to the sky.

I looked up, not seeing anything, but some of them were saying, "there's the UFO!" Frantically, I looked and looked trying to find it in the sky. We gave up after more than half an hour looking upwards.

Next day, the newspaper headlines were all about the UFO hovering over the city. Apparently, everyone, but me, got to see it.

One can simultaneously believe that there is a high likelihood of life in other planets and that some of that life may be intelligent, but that the likelihood that such life has visited earth and accounts for unidentified flying objects is remote given our understanding of how physics works.

The hypothesis that I find most compelling is the most parsimonious, that they are extra-dimensional.  That would help explain phenomenon like spooky action at a distance, concepts of time as an illusion, and the long distances such beings would have to travel if they were from our dimension/universe.

I'm told from staffers on the Hill that there are only two bipartisan issues right now: getting ride of Daylight Savings Time and UFOs.

I'm glad to see Stanford in the mix for what could be the most important discovery (re-discovery?) in the history of humanity.
