Yes, thanks for this. We are all set to go, fingers crossed that we will be there -- not taking victories on this Friday and Sunday for granted. But we have gone ahead and bought plane tix, booked a hotel, reserved a rental car. But knowing game times, that's also crucial so that we can set the DVR and record the games for replay if we want to after the regional. It's all part of the advance planning.
Good to see you haven't taken anything for granted . . . :-]
Really, not for granted. Everything can be canceled, but we don't want to take a chance on not being able to get reservations.
Just ribbing (and envious). If a getaway to Spokane was in the cards for next weekend, I would have done exactly what you did. Enjoy the trip (I'm confident that Stanford will take care of business at Maples).
I recognized the ribbing, no problem. At this point, we really don't take anything for granted, but we do like to be sure we can get there. Lots of adventures over the years getting to games in the tournament. Highlight (idiotic lowlight?) was in 1996, when regional was in Missoula. We bot plane tix three weeks in advance -- not a lot of flights to Missoula so we wanted to be sure to get reservations. And then the Thursday we were to fly, we missed our flight from SFO. No other flights available, so we drove -- 1100 miles in 24 hours and made it to the game on Friday evening. I've already checked the driving distance to Spokane JIC -- nearly 900 miles. We're dedicated!
