If all Poole learns from Curry is to shoot deep threes, shame on Poole.  Can’t think of a better player to learn from.  I heard Kerr talking about Poole about a month ago.  Said they work with him to improve his shot selection and to use his speed more off ball.  Pass and cut more etc. 

Curry is the best I’ve ever seen at combining on ball and off ball offensive skills.  It’s rare. All great scorers are terrific on ball.  Can’t think of many that are great off ball.  

Curry has also made himself into a decent defender. Another thing Poole could learn. Starting with the simple aspect of actually giving an effort on the defensive end.  

Finally, maybe the best lesson of all - the work effort. Curry is off the charts on that score.

I don't know where Steph sits in the GOAT argument, but he's the best we're ever going to see play for the Warriors, I suspect. I vividly remember Rick Barry and my dad remembers Wilt Chamberlain - and Steph is better than Barry, arguable about where he sits relative to Chamberlain - but this is probably the fourth best dynasty (after Celtics, Lakers and Bulls) and is reminiscent of the great 49er run from 1981 to 1995.

I think the Kings were the toughest Western Conference team (outside of the Suns) in matchup terms for the Warriors.

Thompson had an ice-cold start (1/10 shooting). He got better, as they say in Monty Python. It was an off game (or off-half) for him. 

I think Wiggins will do better with a bit more rest. I hope so, anyway.

Kerr has very little faith in his players outside of Curry, Thompson, Green, Looney and Wiggins. 

It doesn't surprise me that Moody has ascended to where he was. A little bit of patience is all he really required.

I think Kuminga sat too much this series, and his attitude changes more than the others in correlation to his playing time.

FWIW, I wasn't too discouraged when the Warriors were 0-2. All the points you make about the Kings are correct, and that they held serve wasn't that bad a factor. The Warriors needed to hold serve and win one road game. That was true going in and they did hold serve. Even better, they won their one road game. To my way of thinking, that was the "big deal". Once they did that, the series was their's. While you are correct that their road record was pretty bad, at home they were actually pretty good. The needed to win game 6. They didn't, and they looked bad doing it. If you look at my previous post, I thought that was a "must win" because of the home-away differential and because of the emotional high winning game 6 should have delivered to the Kings. At that point, I thought the Warriors were toast. Curry decided that they weren't. Indeed that was exhilarating, but looking ahead, expecting him to score 50 a night isn't a good approach. The Ws need to play better to advance. Is that being negative, Not IMHO, I think that is something we both agree upon. Can they? I think so. But then I thought they would win game 6.

Will they beat the Lakers? I don’t know. As I said, I don’t expect this team to advance far.

Negativity would be saying that the Warriors have almost no chance going forward. I don't believe that. I think they have a pretty good chance to win the upcoming series. After that, it gets harder. Hopefully they don't have to have Curry bail them out again, because at some point he won't be able to do it. Will they beat the Lakers? I don’t know. As I said, I don’t expect this team to advance far.

But that was an incredibly enjoyable series.  Which they managed to win.

Odds are against it, but after this last game, it isn't impossible.

I think the Warriors have a puncher's chance. They're like a 45 year old George Foreman beating Michael Moorer to win the heavyweight championship. It can be done. I think they'll beat the Lakers (Davis, Schroeder and LeBron all have injuries, but played 28, 23, and 31 minutes in the blowout win over the Grizzlies), even though they lost three of four to the Lakers, winning only on opening night. They didn't have Curry for the home loss or the first road loss to the Lakers, and Klay and Kevon had uncharacteristically off nights (Looney only had 5 rebounds). DDV had a very poor game, and it was Curry's first game back after his injury.

Either the Nuggets or the Suns will be tougher. The Nuggets won game 1 over the Suns pretty handily. Warriors were 0-3 in the regular season against the Nuggets, but two of the losses were extremely close. Warriors were 1-3 against the Suns. All four games were blowouts. At least they won the last game they played against the Suns, so there's that.
