Parking is very limited. I haven't been for a few years, but I know they have since replaced the parking lot we used with a new aquatic facility. There is a parking garage next to Haas (pay per hour) but I am not sure if it is open for the public. That would be my first place to try and park.

The band is located behind the basket near the visitors bench. Again it has been a few years so they may have relocated.

I'm planning to use it on Sunday. As for seating, lots of reserved seating is not available to buy, I assume because of season tickets. But many of those seats remain unoccupied, so you can "upgrade" your general admission seats by moving judiciously.

I miss the old Haas. It had character, and you could easily sit close enough to thoroughly enjoy the game. The new (well, it's now, what, 20+ years old) feels like trying to watch a game from the top floor of a 30-story mausoleum.

I hate that it is so close to my house, but it takes me even longer to get there what with driving, parking, etc., and much more expensive.

Leaning toward not going, though I feel guilty about that.

I was more interested in where to sit.  Reserved seats are available but I'd rather sit with other Stanford fans, and don't know if there is a designated section for opposition fans.

The team gets an allotment of  tickets for parents/families right behind the bench but if some are unaccounted for, would general fans or season ticket holders be able to snatch extra tickets close to the bench that way? Yes, Section 1 is behind the Stanford bench. Any row that begins with a "letter" instead of a #, is a reserved chairback.
Chairbacks are sections 1,2,3 & 15,16 & 17. 17 would be across from the Stanford bench, but it's usually filled in the lower section.
The band sits in section 23. Keep in mind school is out, so there have only be 15 or so band members. However, being a Stanford game, alumni band members usually show up so I'd except 20 to 30?

Another option might be to get a GA ticket, then sit in the student section down by the court in front of sections 15, 16 & 17. When school is out, they "usually" let anyone sit down there. But I' don't know what will happen if you show up in Stanford gear. Keep in mind, there may also be screaming kids sitting there.

Buying a GA ticket then moving to a chairback is usually easy for non-Stanford games. Not sure how it will be this time. Definitely avoid sections 2 & 3 and sit up in the higher rows if chairback is your priority. Season ticket holders are usually in J and below in the chairback sections.

Forgot to mention about parking.
The game is on Sunday, so meters are not active. And since school is out, there's usually plenty of street parking in the area. (as mentioned, there are many one way streets, so it's not always easy to just "go around the block".
As for car break-in, the area near Haas has very few car break ins. Just be sure to not leave anything visible in your car. Not a sweater, umbrella or even an empty brown paper bag. Put everything you don't need in the trunk BEFORE you drive to the game.
And just avoid the area around People's Park where there are usually homeless encampments. You should easily find parking closer to the gym than that since school is out.
The RSF garage is the closet and that's where the Season Ticket holders park. It's usually permit parking on game days. All of the other lots will have plenty of space, especially since street parking is free on Sunday. If I didn't have a parking pass, I'd definitely park on the street and not in a lot.
