I was thinking of Leo Durocher, who managed the Dodgers in 1940, 1946 and 1948 (no hitters pitched by Tex Carleton, Ed Head, Rex Barney) and managed the Cubs in 1968. 1971 and 1972 (no hitters pitched by Ken Holtzman 2x and Burt Hooten). Six no-hitters, managed by Durocher.

I don't think he was a Stanford alum. If it's the manager I'm thinking of, he oversaw three no-hitters with two separate teams each. He had a scholarship to Holy Cross locked up, but then punched a teacher at his high school.
