I'd forgotten that Arizona State was picked in last year's polls to finish at the bottom of the Big-12. They won the conference last year. Eastern/Midwest/Southern media must have hated that...

I haven't been following the PAC-12 lately. I just learned WSU and OSU women's volleyball are in the WCC.

I hate everything about this ... I keep closing my eyes and hoping that when I reopen them this mutation that is modern college sports will just disappear like the bogeyman from a bad nightmare. It's sucked most of the joy out of it for me.
Other than Stanford, I no longer care about college football and watch pro sports and the occasional NCAA sport that seems more or less free from the contagion (Golf? Women's Tennis? Women's Volleyball?). Not even sure who was the NCAA football champion the last few years. Don't care so no need to tell me.
All of this makes me sad. I hope someone enjoys whatever constitute NCAA football nowadays but no one in my house does anymore.

So are their rowing teams. With only two schools in the Pac-12, there's no meaning to a "conference championship," so those teams have had to become affiliate members in other conferences in order to play in the postseason and have a shot at bids or qualifying berths to their national championship tournaments.
