I like the size. we are his 3rd school . . . hope he settles. LIke many on here, I really don't like all the movement of student-athletes both for their own good and secondarily for us as fans.

a freshman of the year in his 3rd year in college, he missed his first two at years UVA due to injuries
Quote:Earlier in the season, Sanchez had noted that Bliss was day-to-day. Bliss has undergone multiple foot surgeries over the past few years. So, there’s some credence to the idea that he’d want to be at 100% before taking the floor for the ‘Hoos. Still, it’s odd that Bliss seemed due for a return before the new year and is now out indefinitely in mid-January.

but hopefully the injuries are behind him given he played in all of Delaware's 31 games last year

Looking at his stats from last year. The least amount of minutes he played in a game was 34. He appears to have played every minute of the game in 20 out of 30 games, including some games that went into OT. He didn't reach double digits scoring only twice. He fouled out twice.
In the only game against higher competition, at BYU, he scored 18. He nearly shot 40% from three for the season. He's listed as a combo guard, and the analyst thinks he has a good shot at being our starting PG next season.
I think it's a positive for next year that he will be an older sophomore.

Great research and links on Bliss.
I'm hopeful that he can become the next "hidden" talent that Coach KS can get the most out of.
Ok well Raynaud wasn't very hidden, but Coach did help him get his best year.
And Okorie might not have been hidden so much as overlooked.
However, the point being, Coach has demonstrated an ability to bring out the best in a player and I hope Bliss joins the party.

Quote:Adding a talented guard to the roster, Stanford men’s basketball has signed Christian Bliss as a transfer from Delaware. Bliss is the second transfer addition of the offseason for the Cardinal.
“We are thrilled to add Christian Bliss to our program. He is an experienced player who has the opportunity to step in and help get our program to the next level,” said Kyle Smith, the Anne and Tony Joseph Director of Men’s Basketball. “He is a multifaceted guard who can play anywhere on the perimeter, and he is very comfortable running the pick and roll to create for himself and others. He also possesses the ability to create and score away from the ball.”
