I think they will seek each other out. I think USC parted ways with Munday with a coach already in mind. I believe that our coach is looking for a more lucrative position and a different conference. USC offers both of these. Losing an assistant is a big loss with only three assistants and I believe USC will fund the assistant coaches and Director of Operations. They fought valiantly and were in it until the end.  UNC used their superior athleticism to play aggressive man to man defense.  Stanford turned the ball over too many timees so played from behind the entire game.   Stanford Goalie Lucy Pearson played a great game but could not get enough help from the offense.

I am proud of what they've accomplished this season and the future remains bright as they are bringing back some great players.  Lucy Pearson only played 2 games her frosh year so might still have eligibiliity.  This season put Stanford on the map in a big way so might be able to attract transfers.  Fortunately this sport is full of strong students at other schools so the transfer portal could work to Stanford's advantage.

Northwestern takes the women's LAX title in a dramatic fourth quarter comeback. UNC momentarily tied the game at 12, but the goal was overturned. Northwestern then went on to score back-to-back goals to secure the 14-11 victory.

Ashley Humphrey who graduated from Stanford and played there before grad transferring to join her sisters at UNC plays for the Maryland Charm. Known for her lacrosse IQ, Miss Humphrey tallied the most points (3 goals, 6 assists) in a single WLL game so far last night. We watched WLL for the first time last night, and we enjoyed it. Last summer's Championship Series demonstration was fun but they played Sixes (Olympics format 5 field players + goalie) which looks more like a Wesy Genny drill than true field lacrosse. One improvement in the pro game was more space behind the goal which allowed more dynamic and creative offense.

Stanford also got a commit from Ruby Cacioppo, a 4* goalie from one of the top high school programs in Long Island.  In lax, the club is much more important and she played for LI Top Guns which is one of the top clubs in the sport and the #1 ranked club in the country during her last year.
