There are two sessions of this class remaining (May 5 and 12, the first class was Apr 7) so it appears he's not leaving on the best of terms...it seems to me that there is some sort of precipitating event between Apr 7 and Apr 30, the two most likely ones to me would be giving notice and Stanford not liking where he is going (e.g., going to a competitor, like say Cal) or some determination from an investigation of some sort. If the former that should become known in the not to distant future, if the later (or something else) it may be a while before the rumor mill kicks into gear....
