When I say everyone I mean all the people on rivals and scout who are saying Ertz isn't graduating when he is. I've seen dozens of people who don't seem to understand many players redshirt but still take classes their freshman year.

Toilolo is in the 2014 class on CBS Sports and ranked very high. Take out the guys leaving this year and they have him as a top 3 TE. Obviously this is just someone's projection and isn't very accurate, but I just don't see Toilolo's stock being as low as everyone seems to believe.

Also my example of Hernandez going in the 4th round was probably dumb to use. He dropped because he was suspended for drugs numerous times in college and had major character concerns. NE even had his contract done with a lot of incentives so if he acted stupid they could cut him and not pay him the full amount. In normal circumstances he would have gone in the 2nd round. He won the Mackey award as a true junior.

[Hey]

This is a sobering reality Toilolo needs to face.  Not saying whoever put this list together is the end all, be all expert on draft prospect rankings, but there are no secrets in the NFL.  This list of TE prospects should have Toilolo's attention: http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/prosp...gs/2013/TE

I believe the people who made this list weren't aware that Toilolo might declare.  He's definitely upper tier on other draft boards.

The reaction on reddit from our rival fans (in this case the Ducks and the Irish) is priceless.  Mostly variations on the f-bomb.  The Condoms are noticeably absent.  Guess they've given up on next year already.

The Lee Corso clip posted in that thread is absolutely incredible. I've been desensitized enough by the internet that it's rare to get an actual LOL from me, but this did the trick.

The bar at the JW Marriott.

fullmetal, you missed an excellent NYE party.  I met David Chang of Momofuku fame!  If Stanford makes the BCS game next year, make sure you bring your crew.

Next year I'll be sure that my bowl game travel crew is not a crew that falls asleep immediately after dinner after the game!  It was somewhat excusable because we got up for the parade, but man, this weak sauce would not have flown in Miami.  I really wanted to be down at the Marriott--another one of the Stanford/Austin guys was down there to welcome the team back, and he said it was awesome.  I've seen that kind of atmosphere once before when the women's basketball team returned to the hotel after losing the championship game to UConn...the atmosphere was wonderful and priceless.

Isn't it fantastic (and remarkable) after the 2000's to have the program at a place where going to a bowl is taken for granted?
Hope this is the norm from now on, but never forget.

My years were the dry years of famine and scarcity...I remember those years (although I did graduate before the 1-11 season).  Don't worry about my perspective (or lack thereof) :)

Speaking of Skov -- does anyone have a take, or a suspicion, on how much his Knee injury might have knocked his performance down a notch after he came back?  It's a crude question, and probably impossible to tell, but someone probably has an opinion on it...

He wasn't 100% until before the bowl game, if at all if I remember correctly.  I think another offseason of work and rehab is exactly what he needs before the NFL.
