That is what I was thinking.  He could be a blocking beast at FB.  And, he should have the speed and agility to carry the rock.

With this guy being a late get, I would imagine they will use him where he can help the most.  Based on his size and lacrrosse prowess, I could see him at LB or FB.  Or, both.  ;)

Look like in HS he only lined up on D at OLB as a pass rusher. Or at least that is what his highlights show. But it is fairly evident that our needs are inside. He could play at a number of different spots given his size, strength, speed, and athleticism. Wow.

If only Dax Hollifield didn't have a girlfriend...  Stanford would have had two ILBs from North Carolina and JMF. Nobody would be hyperventilating about ILB depth.

While the ILB pipeline is not quite as dire as it was before, it is still problematic, especially in 2019, when Miezan will  be a redshirt freshman with all of two years of football experience (one year playing).

I'm excited about his athleticism and his potential to contribute.  But I think we still have an ILB pipeline problem.

Why assume Pryts is deficient?  Has anyone seen him in Spring?  It's not at all uncommon for Safeties to become Linebackers and do well.  Pryts was a 4-star recruit.  I wouldn't discount him so much until he proves he is incapable of doing the ILB job at a high level.

Maybe he'll be great. I dunno. But he wasn't good enough to play more than one game this past year. But, even if he is serviceable, unless either true frosh plays in 2018, which is looking more likely, our ONLY ILBs with experience in 2019 will be Barton and Pryts. It's not so much that I am down on him, but the fact that we are absolutely needing him to be quality ... or else we're sunk.

In fact, given that we regularly use 4 ILBs, this year either he or a true frosh or Branch is going to have to produce.
