ACC football honors -
Spiny_Norman - 12-11-2025
The ACC has announced its football all conference teams. It should not be a surprise that Stanford had no first teamers. Just reinforces the talent deficit that the new staff has to work to close.
1st team
none
2nd team
Sam Roush
Matt Rose
3rd team
none
Honorable mention
CJ Williams
Clay Patterson
Jay Green

Thanks for sharing this.
On the bright side, this is further evidence that Stanford, with its 3-5 conference record, overachieved compared to its individual talent.
Florida State went 2-6 and, as we all know, lost to Stanford, yet secured two players on the 1st team, one on the 2nd team and five honorable mentions.
Boston College went 1-7 and lost to Stanford, and secured two on the 2nd team, one on the 3rd team and four honorable mentions.
Cal went 4-4 and, thank goodness, lost to Stanford, but had
four on the 1st team (albeit de Jesus listed for two positions), one on the 2nd team (de Jesus again), one on the 3rd team and three honorable mentions.

Wow!! Well, good for him. I did notice he is listed as a senior at Tech and I thought he graduated on the Farm. There are other players at Tech listed as "graduate", so ??

I think in terms of eligibility DB is a "senior" as he played as a true freshman at Stanford and this is his fourth and final year of eligibility. But according to his Texas Tech bio at
https://texastech.com/sports/football/roster/david-bailey/13883:
"Earned a bachelor’s degree in science, technology and science from Stanford in less than four years … enrolled in graduate school at Texas Tech."

"Earned a bachelor's degree in science, technology, and science from Stanford..." Wake up whoever wrote this sentence! It's "Science, Technology, and Society" or STS.
