They are both 29. Both not as productive as they once were. Sherman returning from achilles tear, and Bryant from a down year. A couple once elite players being traded for each other in hopes of rekindling their respective careers. Makes sense from this perspective.

Looks like the Seahawks might also just want to get rid of those players who concern themselves with bigger picture things such as social justice instead of just playing ball ...

Bennett is going to Philly for a 5th round pick. That's some good depth for Philly and kind of a steal imo.

Good for Bennett. But I don't wish Dallas on anybody, especially Richard Sherman. He deserves better. I hope Sherman finds a way to make Seattle pay in the playoffs (even though I simultaneously hope that Dallas never makes the playoffs again).

One more reason to dislike (I think "hate" may be too strong a word for a sports rival -- except for Stanford's rivals, of course) the Seahawks. Don't want guys who have opinions. Horrors.

Tweet could have been removed...or more likely, from last year. I think there were rumors of Sherman for Dez last year around April, but that didn't pan out. Or it might have been a clever fake account. Twitter accounts and tweets can be so seamlessly removed that you can never tell...

I have no love for the Seahawks, but are we so sure that is their reasoning? Seems like a snap judgment to so quickly condemn them. I know, from listening to sports radio up here, that there are other reasons for wanting to trade him/them, including impending contract talks (esp at the QB position) and a full salary load for the team. In addition, the Hawks are worried about getting older on the D side. Also, I assume they will want to get rid of Dougie if it is just about getting rid of "opinions."

Sure, it's confirmation bias. I don't like the Hawks despite Sherman and Baldwin, so if he leaves they're easier to dislike.
