On net, though, isn't it better to play SC early while they are still trying to "figure it out" rather than once they are clicking on all cylinders mid-seasons?  I feel like it is probably better to play the really talented teams early.

You'd think that would make sense.  But not if our team is also still trying to 'figure it out' (cough, Northwestern, cough).
