I remember that 99 game.  All they did was run the option and our defense could not stop him. It's enormously frustrating to know it's coming and not being able to stop it.  I'd like to see him try that tactic against the current Stanford Defense.

I remember the frustration level, which I am sure was shared on the field, that we all knew that we couldn't stop him. Almost as bad as USC and OJ. Not quite as bad, because OJ was known to be exceptional. The Washington QB was considered "good, but not great". Well, that day, he was great. I am not sure it would matter what defense was out there. Sometimes, a good player gets into a zone where nobody and nothing will stop him. It seemed like it that day.
